What to Expect at Your Initial Appointment

For your first appointment, your registered massage therapist will do a thorough assessment of your condition and individual healthcare goals for treatment and figure out what types of massage will be most beneficial for you. As we offer a wide range of massage techniques at the clinic including therapeutic massage therapy, soft tissue massage, deep tissue massage treatment, relaxation massage, pregnancy massage, myofascial release, sports massage, Swedish massage technique, active release technique, etc., your therapist will help you choose the best combination.

After answering any questions and discussing your effective treatment plan with you, you’re ready for your first massage.

The therapist will ensure to perform the therapy when you’re ready. You may feel free to chat with your therapist all you want, but you may also choose to relax without talking. If at any time during your massage you become uncomfortable and would like more or less pressure, please let us know. Your therapist can adjust the massage to your liking.

Before you take off, your massage therapist may show you some exercises or stretches you can do at home to improve your condition and how soon you should come back for your next massage.

You might feel some soreness after your massage, especially the next day. This is perfectly normal and actually a good thing as it indicates your body’s natural ability to heal itself is working!
